Every deal on DealHaus states its yardstick, and there are only two we use:

• The retailer's list price. Many deals - especially products we've only recently started tracking - are measured against the retailer's published list price. We label them exactly that way (“30% off list price”), we verify the current selling price before publishing, and we never dress a list-price comparison up as price history.
• The product's own recorded history. As we track a product over time, its reference becomes the trailing median of prices we actually recorded. Only then do history claims like “lowest price in 60 days” appear - derived from our data, never asserted. Where we have enough history, we show the chart so you can see the evidence yourself.

• Invent or exaggerate a “was” price.
• Claim a historical low we can't prove from our own recorded data.
• Publish a price we haven't verified, or hide when it was last checked.
• Let affiliate commissions change what we surface or how we rank it.

Retail prices move quickly. Every deal carries a “last verified” timestamp and a reminder that prices may have changed since. Always confirm the live price on the retailer's site before buying - the final price at checkout is the one that counts.
